In today’s world, literacy is not just a skill-it’s a lifeline! These “book deserts” severely limit their ability to develop critical literacy skills, putting them at a disadvantage before they even begin.
For children, the ability to read opens doors to learning, self-expression, confidence and opportunity. But for too many, access to books is a luxury they cannot afford. In underserved communities, children face a stark reality: few or no books in their homes, schools, or communities. We also seek to uplift spirits for children staying in hospitals.
