Across the region including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), Union County Public Schools (UCPS), and the Rock Hill School District (York 3) there are approximately:

61 elementary schools identified as Title I schools
50% of students live below the poverty line
350 - 750 students per school
Representing 35,000 children
